Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how YTStudioLab (“YTStudioLab”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use the website at ytstudiolab.com and the YTStudioLab application (the “Service”). YTStudioLab is an independent service and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by YouTube or Google.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account information — your name, email address, phone number, how you heard about us, and a securely hashed password.
  • Content you create — channel settings, video topics, prompts, scripts, and the images, audio and videos generated for you.
  • Support messages — anything you send us when you contact support.

Information from YouTube (only if you connect a channel)

If you choose to connect a YouTube channel, you sign in with Google and grant YTStudioLab read-only access (the youtube.readonly scope) through YouTube API Services. With that permission we retrieve:

  • Channel details: channel ID, title, custom URL and thumbnail.
  • Channel statistics: subscriber count, total views and video count.
  • For up to your 50 most recent uploads: video ID, title, publish date, thumbnail, duration, and view, like and comment counts.
  • An OAuth refresh token that lets us fetch updated statistics without asking you to sign in again.

YTStudioLab cannot upload, edit, delete or comment on anything in your YouTube account. The access we request is read-only.

Payment information

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of your plan, payment status and billing dates.

Technical information

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your light or dark theme preference. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

When you create an account we record the IP address you signed up from, the approximate location it points to (country, region and city), your device and browser type, and your browser’s timezone, screen size and language. We also store a random device identifier in a cookie and in your browser’s local storage. We use this only to prevent spam and abuse — for example, to limit how many accounts can be made from one device or network. We also keep the IP address and browser type of your active sign-in sessions for security.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the Service: generating scripts, visuals, voiceovers and finished videos.
  • To show your connected channel’s and videos’ performance inside YTStudioLab.
  • To analyze that performance, identify patterns in your channel, and recommend future video topics and content.
  • To manage your account, subscription and billing.
  • To respond to support requests, keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.

We use YouTube data only to provide these features to you. We do not sell YouTube data or any other personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with other users.

3. YouTube API Services

YTStudioLab uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

YTStudioLab’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:

  • Hosting and storage providers — to store your account, projects and generated files.
  • AI generation providers — the topics, prompts and script text you provide are sent to process images, text and voiceover. YouTube data is not sent to these providers.
  • Stripe — to process payments.
  • IP geolocation provider (ipwhois.io) — the IP address you sign up from is sent to look up its approximate location.
  • Google — to authenticate your YouTube connection and retrieve the data described above.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service. If YTStudioLab is involved in a merger or acquisition, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

5. Storage, security and retention

  • YouTube refresh tokens are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM) and are never shown in the browser.
  • Connected-channel statistics are refreshed from YouTube regularly, typically every few hours while you use the Service. YouTube data that is not refreshed within 30 days is deleted.
  • Account data and your projects are kept while your account is active.
  • When you delete your account, we delete your personal data, projects and any YouTube data within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law (for example, payment records).

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use industry-standard measures to protect your information.

6. Disconnecting YouTube and revoking access

You can stop YTStudioLab from accessing your YouTube data at any time:

  • In YTStudioLab — open the channel and click Disconnect. We immediately delete the stored token and YouTube data for that channel and revoke the access grant at Google.
  • In your Google account — remove YTStudioLab from Google security settings (Third-party apps with account access). Once access is revoked, we can no longer retrieve your data, and the data we stored is deleted.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict how it is processed. To make a request, email support@ytstudiolab.com from your account email. We respond within 30 days.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. When we do so, we take steps to make sure it stays protected as described in this policy.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the app.
